Role Overview
As a WordPress Developer at Battle Mount, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing our WordPress websites. Key Responsibilities
- Website Development & Maintenance:
- Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring they are responsive, user-friendly, and optimized for performance.
- Customize themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements and enhance functionality.
- Security Implementation:
- Implement and maintain security best practices to protect websites from vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
- Regularly update WordPress core, themes, and plugins to ensure security and compatibility.
- Performance Optimization:
- Optimize website performance, including page load speeds, database efficiency, and overall user experience.
- Implement caching solutions and other performance-enhancing techniques.
- Collaboration & Integration:
- Work closely with designers to translate UI/UX designs into functional websites.
- Integrate third-party APIs, tools, and services to extend website capabilities and support business needs.
- Troubleshooting & Support:
- Diagnose and resolve website issues, bugs, and errors promptly.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance to ensure websites run smoothly and efficiently.
- SEO & Analytics:
- Collaborate with the SEO team to implement on-page SEO best practices.
- Integrate and configure analytics tools to monitor website performance and user behavior.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress developments, trends, and best practices.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance website functionality, security, and user experience.
Qualifications & Skills
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience:
- 1+ years of proven experience in WordPress development, including theme and plugin customization.
- Experience in technology-driven industries such as cybersecurity, cloud, AI, or software development is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with responsive design frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap) and CSS preprocessors (e.g., SASS).
